βThe sound of colors is so definite that it would be hard to find anyone who would express bright yellow with base notes or dark lake with the treble.β (Wassily Kandinsky)
Center on Contemporary Art invites you to a unique aesthetic experience at the home of a private collector on March 18th. Artworks have been hand selected for this event because of their relation to spirituality and sound and will be displayed around the home. This one-day event opens with a review of art, food and beverages from 2:30-4 pm and concludes with a new moon sound bath at 4:30 performed by Irene Ingalls of Seattle Sound Temple.
A Sound Bath is a unique and wonderful blend of sound concert and transformative healing session, a sensory experience in which participants are awash in sound vibrations produced by singing bowls, voice, and other sound tools.
The event will be held in a remote, wooded, park-like location in the Broadview neighborhood of Seattle. Because this is a private residence, the specific address will be sent after sign-up. Tickets to the event are $150, and attendance is limited to 30 people. Our goal is to raise $5,000 for CoCA.
CoCA serves the Pacific Northwest as a catalyst and forum for the advancement, development, and understanding of contemporary art. Your contribution helps us continue to support community and artists like you.
Participating Artists: Hye Young Kim, Carson Rennekamp, Claire Scherzinger
